The interactive and controller-based video installation “zeitlos” (timeless), was shown and created for the MCM foundation in Tokyo. Its visitors had more than 466,000 opportunities to rearrange video and sound souvenirs from Berlin and Tokyo to create their own unique audio-visual memories and thus fragments of reality. The influence of our own memory and conditioning on truth and justification was questioned. Is truth only a „construct“ of an unknown quality, only an approximation of reality and can the accuracy and fullness of understanding be improved?
